After a long 12 hour flight followed by a hour boat ride, we finally had made the terrible, long, never-ending trip. We were so happy to make it. It was late at night, around 11 or 12, but in America it would around 3, midday. So for the first few nights, I had to read to help myself sleep. The Airbnb we stayed at was fairly good, although it had some creepy dolls in the living room.
FIRST DAY
On the first day, we pretty much just slept and relaxed. Thinking back, a lot of the time I would wake up and just read the new book I had received, “Shadow of the Fox”. My sense of time had abandoned me at this point, leaving me to think it was 3 in the morning when it was 4 in the afternoon.
SECOND DAY
The second day was much more eventful, and we had a whole lot of fun. We went on a gondola, and in case you don’t know what that is, it’s those long boats driven by a standing person in the back. These boats were usually used for tours in this city of water, and we were lucky to find one. We learned about many unique things, and we even entered Venice’s Grand Canal. The Grand Canal was like the main freeway for Venice. After getting off the boat, we took a walk and generally wondered in the giant city. We found a nice pizza place, and even better, we were in Italy, the makers of pizza!

THIRD DAY
On the third day, we had quite a walk ahead of us. Looking at the map and how far away our destination, St. Marks, was, it ended up to be very intimidating, at least to me. We walked for thirty minutes straight, and we reached saint marks. It was very crowded, flowing with restaurants and shops. Furthermore, there was double the amount of pigeons than actual people. But this didn’t distract me a bit. We had to look out for scammers and that such, knowing this place was a haven for them. A scammer actually did give us a few seeds, although we didn’t even ask. He then asked for 20 Euros! We refused to give it to him, and he soon left to scam other tourists. We met up with the tour guide we had come here for, and he showed up a fantastic tour. He was really knowledgeable, and he was easy to understand. The tour ended at 8:00 and we headed home, satisfied with the great experience he gave to us.

FOURTH DAY
On the fourth day, we left. It was unfortunate we had to leave so soon. We took a last walk to the bridge that went over the Grand Canal, and then headed to the train station. The train led us all the way to Turin. Exhausted from the 4 hour train ride, we tiredly walked to our hotel, which luckily was right next to the train station. This hotel was great, and luxurious is the only word I could describe it with. We stayed inside until 9:00, and then slept like we never had before. The day in front of me filled me with incredible excitement, and I could hardly contain myself!
Wonderful visiting magnificent places.
